Pizza

Our Neapolitan style crust at Vicino is a thin and soft crust. We affectionately refer to it as a “three finger pizza”.  It’s cooked in our high temperature wood fire pizza oven at a minimum of 800 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes the crust bubble up and char in a few spots.

Gluten free crust is not an afterthought at Vicino. Chef put a lot of time into developing our house made gluten free crust. It’s fermented for 24 hours and gives you that mouthwatering, chewy texture we all crave from a pizza but without the gluten. You’re welcome.

Like every great restaurant, the beer and wine offerings at Vicino are selected to match the food.  We offer six draft beers from all over the world including our flagship beer Peroni which is an Italian Lager as well as dozens of packaged beer offerings.

Our wine list is the only 100% Italian wine in Coeur d’Alene. Every glass is picked to pair with the menu. We offer a wide range of inexpensive everyday drinkers as well as hard to find Italian gems for the wine connoisseur. Don’t worry if you can’t pronounce some of the names! Our staff is trained to help guide you through the wine by the glass options based on your wine style to assist in finding that perfect glass of vino to pair with your pizza. Cin Cin!

The Polpette dish on the menu is particularly special to our original Chef Pebbles. While wandering around Florence’s Piazza della Signoria, Chef Pebbles stumbled upon what is now his favorite dish: Meatballs. “It was so simple but everything was so perfect,” says Pebbles. He was training in Italy at the time and remembers heading straight to the butcher to get pork so he could try replicating the dish. The polpette is that same dish.
